The 2025 National Conference will be hosted at the BMO Centre from June 4-6, 2025. Please ensure to arrive early to allow for extra time to get checked into the venue and to pick up your name badge at the registration desk. 

General

Can I purchase guest tickets?

Yes, you can purchase guest tickets for evening events taking place on Tuesday, June 3: Reception and Thursday, June 5: Fun Night. One-day passes, or individual education session tickets currently are NOT offered this year. Registration deadline is May 14, 2025. 

How many Continuing Professional Education (CPE) hours will I obtain?

For the In-Person conference, you will earn a total of 13 CPE hours. 

What if I have dietary restrictions?

There will be an opportunity to indicate special dietary restrictions during the registration process. Please note that we will do everything in our power to accommodate restrictions and allergies by relaying these notes to the appropriate department.

How do I request accessibility services?

There will be an opportunity to indicate accessibility needs during the registration process. Please note that we will do everything in our power to accommodate.

What should I wear?

As we are on the Prairies, do expect fluctuating temperatures. We highly recommend wearing comfortable attire for the duration of the conference – Please dress for the season, pack layers! We are encouraging delegates to bring running/comfortable walking shoes.

For the Fun Night evening event we recommend “Wild West Chic” themed clothing: jeans, denim, cowboy boots and hats (We do not recommend heels).

What is the cancellation policy

You may cancel your conference registration in accordance with the following: 

  • If you cancel or transfer your conference registration including guest tickets before Wednesday, May 14, 2025, you will be refunded your registration fee, less a $150.00 administrative fee (plus applicable taxes). 
  • To request a refund, an email must be sent to conference@payroll.ca by Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. ET. 
  • No refunds will be given after Wednesday, May 14, 2025. 
  • No-shows for this event will not receive a credit, a refund or CPE hours. 

We reserve the right to cancel, change, or substitute program dates or content without further notice and assume no liability for these changes. Payment of registration confirms that you have read, understand, agree, and will comply with the published registration cancellation policy. 

Please remember that canceling your in-person conference registration does not automatically cancel your hotel and travel arrangements. You are responsible for canceling your own hotel and travel reservations.

What if I cannot attend the in-person conference, will there be an option to attend virtually?

Yes, for 2025 we are offering a Virtual Conference Registration as an option for our members. Please contact Conference@payroll.ca about transferring your conference registration.

What is included in the cost of my registration?

Your registration provides you access to all of the plenary presentations, concurrent breakout sessions, breakfast, lunch and networking events. You also receive log-in details to utilize our mobile conference app to help navigate the National Conference.

Will I receive a receipt for registration?

Yes, when you register and pay the registration fee, a confirmation email will automatically be sent to the Delegate’s email address as provided on the registration form. This will include a link to download their invoice/receipt.

How can I get from the airport to the conference center?

Calgary International Airport is a 30-minute drive to Calgary’s downtown core. There are several options from local transit to hotel shuttles, taxi, limo, or Uber – more details on options can be found here
